Staff Report –
COULTERVILLE, Calif. – The forecast called for rain and snow on Saturday as kids in California dressed up for Halloween. But the clouds broke and the sun peeped out just in time for a street party in town, Trunk or Treat.
And while turnout was down due to the weather forecast, quite a few families and kids turned out anyway, including quite a crowd touring through the Yosemite Arts and Crafts Center with significant new art collections on display.
“This is great,” was a regular comment from visitors as we cranked up the wood burning stove for the first time this fall.
“An art gallery in Coulterville? Wow,” was another popular refrain.
