Editor’s Note: James “Jim” Rhodes, a native of Alabama and a long time resident of Birmingham, is now the founder of the non-profit organization Operation New Earth living in Coulterville, California.
He is a Vietnam War combat veteran who traveled back to that country many years ago to help the people there and himself recover from that war. Just so listeners and viewers of this new radio station will know some of his history, we re-run this column by him published in the New American Journal.
