Staff Report –
COULTERVILLE, Calif. – The Coulterville VFW Auxiliary is sponsoring a special Fourth of July Independence Day celebration on America’s 250th Birthday in the community park on Saturday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be hotdogs and hamburgers with a bag of chips and a drink for only $3 and ice cream cones for .50 cents. There will be table games and free swimming pool access for the first 100 people to show up.
There will be live music too. Mark Nordeen’s new band Swift Kick will perform, and drummer Glynn Wilson might also sit in and play some blues.
Bring blankets, chairs, sun umbrellas and enjoy the shade on the grass and the pool.
This is a family friendly event so no alcohol is allowed in the park, and donations to the VFW auxiliary are needed and appreciated to support veterans.
