We understand that many families in our community experience food insecurity at different times throughout the year, especially during the summer months when school meals are not available, according to a statement from the Mariposa County Office of Education.
“Every family deserves access to healthy, nourishing food,” they say.
To that end, and to support people in need, they’ve compiled a list of local food resources available throughout Mariposa County, including options in the North County areas of Greeley Hill, Coulterville and Lake Don Pedro. These resources come from a variety of organizations, including faith-based groups, nonprofit agencies, and county and state programs like CalFresh and Project Food Box.
The goal is to ensure that all families feel empowered to use the resources available to them without fear of judgment.
“Whether you’re facing a temporary hardship or ongoing challenges, you are not alone—and help is here.”
