Help Us Help You –

Are you an artist? A painter, photographer, sculptor or a crafts maker who makes beautiful things with your hands?
Do you need a great place to showcase your work to get it in front of locals and tourists?
We have the new place for you.
We are opening a news arts and crafts center in the Main Street Historic District in Coulterville, California just in time for Tourist Season 2026.
It’s located at 5014 Main Street.
We’ve already started on the renovations, but we could use your help and ideas.
We and Mark Nordeen have painted the front two rooms in the space by the old Gazzolo Saloon and Dance Hall building that was a thrift store and Erica already has some of her paintings hanging in the main gallery room for now. We are working to repair one place in the ceiling, and the floor needs work in a couple of places as well.
The plan is to periodically change the art on the main gallery wall with work from a different artist, maybe weekly, who would then work the space to keep it open on the weekend and be there to sell arts and crafts when the tourists are passing through town on the way to and from Yosemite. This will spread the work around and not require too much from anyone.
We also need help to paint the hallway and office, the back room, and to work on the floor in a couple of places. Feel free to get in touch and/or show up and pickup a paint brush and paint the next wall, or help us figure out where and how to create islands in the space for crafts.
Wilson will be around to help anyone who wants to help us help you. The landlord, Jim Rhodes, and our other business in the Gazzolo building, YosemiteRadio.Org, will take a cut from the sales to pay the utilities on the space.
We are also planning to have parties on the weekends, with music, to bring people interested in changing the culture to this town for more social networking and a new kind of conversation. We know how to spread the word about this on social media. But we sincerely need your help in sharing the links and helping to spread the word around locally and to the world on the web.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and by Appointment
Interested in an art show? Do you need a gallery show on your resume?
Get 4 weeks of Main Street wall space. Work as a gallery volunteer one Friday, Saturday or Sunday, also help with renovations, and invite your friends and family and the House will only take a 10% commision. Otherwise the House commission will be 50% on all sales.
